Summary
This webinar summarizes Canada's new food guide, which strengthens recommendations for Canadians ages two years and
older, providing updated, evidence-based advice about healthy food choices and eating behaviours. The guide also
moves
away from the all-in-one format that formerly acted as both a policy and education tool.
During this presentation, we will explore the consultative process used for this revision and the evidence review,
particularly as it pertains to dental hygienists. We will also examine the dietary guidelines and considerations
developed for health professionals and policymakers, including a suite of tools and resources designed to make it
easier
for your clients to understand and for dental hygienists to apply into practice.
